 In my new role as Director of Community Relations for the Bethlehem Center of Charlotte, mind I work directly with volunteers.  Volunteering is a great way for job hunters to boost their skills while giving back to the community.  Here are four ways volunteering can help your career search:

1.  Free Networking Opportunities:  Volunteering in your community allows you to meet new people, viagra sale including community leaders. You don't have to join a club or attend meetings. You can also volunteer on dates and at times that best fit your schedule.

April 12th – 16th

 

April 12th

- I Am Special Center Display: Parents’ comments and feelings as to why their child is special is posted in the center for all to see.

- Spring Cleaning Clothing Drive Begins: All staff, there families, prescription and friends of the program are asked to donate your gently worn clothing items from home. Each center will have a drop off area for your convenience. We will accept items from you until Thursday afternoon.

 

April 13th

- Parent Appreciation Day- Parents are invited to mingle and have breakfast with other parents at their child’s center on this morning. Also, viagra sale children/ classes will present their parents with appreciation certificates.

- “Family and Friends Big Read” – All staff, parents and friends of the program are invited to visit a center/ school and share a story with the class. You can read a book or tell your own. The kids will love it!

 

April 14th

- Hat Day: All staff, parents and children of the program are asked to wear the hat of their choice on this day promoting the awareness of the different “hats” and roles early childhood staff wear everyday in carrying out their various duties.

- WOYC Door Contest: Classrooms that have chosen to participate in this year’s contest will have their doors judged. Theme: Embracing Diversity

 

April 15th

- Take It Outside: Part II: Take It Outside: Part II:  Parents are asked to spend the morning with their child’s class as they carry out games and physical movement outdoors. Staff is asked to bring their walking shoes and take a walk during their breaks. 

- Thank You Thursday:  All staff is asked to take this day to say thanks to those they appreciate. It can be as simple as a card or grand as money.  Other ideas: Cards, Flowers, Balloons, Writing Materials, etc,.

 

April 16th

- Favorite Book Character Dress Up Day:  Children are asked to come to school dressed as their favorite book character.

Spring Cleaning Clothing Drive Wrap Up Blow Out: Join us as we collect, sort and distribute clothing and goods from the week’s clothing drive.
